About the Role
Our drivers are responsible for operating a tractor trailer intrastate and interstate on local routes to deliver and/or pick up refrigerated LTL loads between in the WI/IL/MN areas. This includes Chicago. This will include overnight routes. Driver's routes are expected to be completed in accordance to all policies stated by ForZack and DOT regulations. Drivers will interact and collaborate with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner ensuring all services and duties are completed in accordance with standard operating procedures and safe workplace practices.
CDL Driver Responsibilities:
Knowledge and comprehension of all DOT rules and regulations.
Follow and perform all company safety checks on truck and trailer pre and post trip.
Report any and all incidents/issues/hazards immediately to dispatcher/management.
Drive the predetermined route assigned by dispatcher to deliver and pick up product to/from customer locations.
Inspect freight and all documentation to ensure accuracy and note any discrepancies.
Maintain a clean and safe tractor performing general house-keeping duties as needed.
Uphold relationships with dispatchers maintaining communication for all safety related issues, confirmations of deliveries, arrival and departure times, and any route discrepancy doing so in a professional and respectful manner.
Understanding other job-related duties may be assigned and required to be performed at will
Requirements
High School diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
Valid CDL A and medical certification
Must be over the age of 21 at the date of hire
3 years driving experience preferred
Listening and verbal communication skills
Fair health and ability to lift various load weights as needed
